Imagine a child standing on a diving board four feet high and asking himself the question: "Should I jump? " This is what motivation or the lack of it can do. Motivation and goal setting are the two sides of the same coin. 36 Like the child on the diving board, you will stay undecided.

做题印象：一定要把握文章整体结构

文章的总体结构

Part One 第一部分

第一自然段：提出论点是什么。即：Without motivation, you can neither set a goal nor reach it.

Part Two 第二部分

包括第二、第三、第四、第五自然段。

围绕如何设定完成一个目标进行分析、阐述，其逻辑顺序安排为每个自然段一个方法，他们共同回答了how should you stay motivated to achieve the goal? 这一设问。

第二自然段：用了First 这个词，这个first在排序上，即“首先，......”。

“七选五”是这样的

七选五题型放在阅读理解的第二节，设五个空，每小题2分，可以说是分值最大的一个阅读理解题了，是阅读理解的重要考场部分。

从今年的考题看，其难度较以往有所加大，该题有提高试题区分度的“嫌疑”，我们在今后的教学、学习中一定要给予更高的关注。

新课程标准要求学生能够做到获取信息、处理信息，并能分析问题、解决问题。因此，主要考查学生对文章结构和文章逻辑性的把握，进而达到对文章整体内容的理解。

这样看来，出题人必然会选择说明文和议论文，因为这样的文章层次清晰，逻辑性强。

七选五也叫“语篇填空”题，对文章要整体理解，错一处必然涉及到另一处，也就是文章的结构和逻辑性，这也正是它的难度所在。

“七选五”这样下手

把握整体，首先，把握内容，其次把握结构。两者相辅相成，多把握结构有助于对内容的理解。一般来讲，文章的首段和末段不设空，主要是通过完整的段落，让考生把握文章的内容。考试要在首段和尾段上多研究研究，以此把握文章的主旨大意和段落结构。
写文章是讲究逻辑性的，因此文章的结构就很重要。而逻辑性又是靠连词推进的，所以我们要多从连词入手来做好该题，要使得文章具有连贯性和一致性。
把握过渡性句子，使上下文有逻辑意义。要认真审查空前、空后的关键词，并把他们与七个选项中的关键词对应起来。
填好空后，我们还要从头到尾把意思顺一下，直到觉得逻辑上缜密为止。
